Tiramisu

Ingredients:

    1 cup (240ml) strong brewed coffee, cooled to room temperature
    3 egg yolks
    ¾ cup granulated sugar
    ⅔ cup milk
    1 ½ cups heavy cream
    ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 pound mascarpone cheese
    24 ladyfingers
    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

    In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar. Add milk and whisk over medium heat until mixture boils. Allow to cool slightly, then cover and chill for 1 hour.
    In another bowl, whip heavy cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form. Add mascarpone cheese and whisk until smooth.
    Dip ladyfingers in coffee and lay them in a single layer in a dish.
    Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat layers.
    Chill for 4-6 hours. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder.
